Disappointed

$2.99 for thirty minutes of reading? Really? I'm not one for arguing about prices, authors deserve to get paid for their work, I get it, but I've read short stories for a lesser price that have had a more developed plot and set of characters than in Coto's Captive.

I love Mrs. Dohner's books, I honestly do, but I always know what's going to happen in her series' and it's becoming tiresome. The plots are always so similar, and the characters are all the exact same. They're very predictable, and one dimensional. If there was no sex, there would be nothing of interest. I've never seen an author use sex as a filler for so much of her books. I lose count on how often a sex scene is thrown around just for the sake of it. I never thought that would annoy me because I love a good sex scene as much as the next reader, but when they happen so often and the plot doesn't benefit from it, I find them pointless.

This will be my last Zorn Warriors read, this is a series I've found myself getting annoyed with or rolling my eyes over every two seconds. I'm sad about it, because Mrs. Dohner's other two series' are my holy grails, but this one, just didn't work for me. I hope it works for someone else.

I think that this was an awesome continuation of the Zorn warrior series. My only complaint is I need more! Write faster. Lol, it was a light hearted joy reading this thank you!

I was just thinking that it's about time you wrote another book to this series and I absolutely loved reading it!

Now I'm waiting for the book for Argies Vhon to find his Bound as well and it should be a longer book, because I love reading and I love reading about the former characters to find out how they are doing as well! But, just let me say that this particular book and series should be recommended for one and all to read! And I'm also waiting for the next installment of the New Species books! You have a great many characters that are just waiting for their stories to be told!!!

Wish it were better written.

The story line and characters kept me interested. However, the book should have been edited a few more times. Anachronistic language about ruined it for me (characters are described as "freaking out" and a general "has a hard on" for a soldier he hates and wants to bring to ruin.) There were numerous others like these 2 examples. Add to that the misspelling of Rebbels and Rebbs early in the book that suddenly gets corrected later in the book. The chapters shift among characters and could use some transition to help the reader. And lastly, the author switches from omniscient 3rd person to 1st person within a single sentence at times throughout the book. The end of the novel (when 2 long-lost brothers find each other in battle) was a little trite. It also felt like the author had grown tired of writing or had a page limit in mind and thus summarized the fates of the numerous characters in an epilogue. The historical aspects of the novel seemed adequately researched and didn't dominate the story but rather complimented it.

Mr. Lizzi does a great job of transporting you back in time and inserting you into the adventure. His ability to describe the complexity and brutality of life in the 1860s was well done. If you want a historically based view of the world in that timeframe and want to face the brutal conditions and people that you meet there, then enjoy this book!

Great story of immigration

As a lover of historical fiction and Civil War era in particular, I devoured this book! It was well researched, and while some information was familiar, there were many details and facts that I learned. It told a great story of what life was like in mid nineteen century for people coming here to start a new life. I look forward to the author's next book.

This story was everything! I love Xavia and Oz! Those two ride for each other like they have known each other all their lives. The bond X has with Starr is awesome. You couldn't tell they weren't blood. I could stand Adore. That girl deserved anything that came her way! Tiffani was a complete thot! I was completely shocked when some things were revealed! Jabari was something else, but he got it together. That crazy ending has me on edge and I can't wait to see what book two has to bring!!!

Pretty good.

I really enjoyed this book. It had a lot going for it. Love.drama.family and action. There was constantly something happening to keep your attention. Quick little read. I did however feel like some details were left out and skipped over. I had a few questions while reading it because I felt like things weren't explained as good as they could have been. I guess my biggest question was why did Luka wait so long to finally find Vienna. But overall I would recommend this book.

If you have not read this I must ask why. Then I must ask you to ask yourself why. Anything by Nietzche is not just interesting and a learning experience, it is hillarious as well. despite the label of being a nihlist, given by people who never read him or disagree with him, Nietzche has a profound insight to life that is actually quite joyous-not just in this work but in general. I suggest every book he has, mind you I am biased as I was a philosophy major and had to read him anyway, bvut I had read him befor that too. It's worth it to buy this alone or better yet buy a collected works that includes his other work as well.

Readers, please be advised - this is NOT an PROPER edition. It's just a HOMEMADE version of Nietzsche's book. The cover is blurry, there is no copyright info and it just looks and feel cheap. I hope the text is complete and correct, but there is no way to tell. I'm sure it's a great book and I'll enjoy it, but the format is just horrible.

Avon is a struggling child actress that wants to rebrand herself. While trying to show everyone that she’s not the little girl on the popular sitcom, she runs into Ace, a producer with a whole lot to prove. While, at first, she wants nothing to do with him, she gives him another chance and falls for him. Instead of jumping head first in a relationship, they develop a friendship but both of them want to be more to each other. Will she still become involved after learning of Ace’s situation?

Ace and his high school sweetheart share two children. Their relationship has been done for a while but Lesha, his kids’ mother, wants to continue the act for the kids and her family. Never being one to tell Lesha no, Ace goes along with it. That's until he meets Avon and falls head over heels for her. Knowing he can't continue to live under the same roof with Lesha while pursuing Avon, he takes the steps to move out. Once he moves out, a whole sequence of events happen and leaves him debating weather or not he will end up with B.A.E after all.

Good read.

I hope Ace an Avon going to make it work. Ace need to stop doing thing with Iesha just for the kids seems he happy with A. Kamari need to send his mother back on she don't want to see him happy. All the rest seem like they doing good. Except for Tammy I wonder what she will do hopefully she get the 8 yr old. Can't wait to read part 2

Really enjoyed reading this book at first I was getting the characters mixed up but once I started reading they all came together. I would recommend this book cause it was very good.
