The writing style was atrocious. Didn't anyone proofread these paragraphs?
First of all, any one who is already a fan of Johnny Depp will be highly disappointed to read bullet points of " important facts" about Johnnys life.
There is also a list of various awards and recognitions he has gathered throughout his career.
The biography portion and I use that term loosely, is so poorly written that it's difficult to follow chronologically. The author doesn't bother to follow any order and skips all over the place, while using bad grammar at every turn. Yes, bad grammar! I was embarrassed for him as I read the thirty pages of what looked like a sixth- graders bio project on his hero.
I couldn't even finish it and would highly recommend that you not waste your money on this publication.

Getting better

It's date night for Tony and Josie, and he knows the perfect place: Tortillas and Beans. His good friend, Manny Epstein, is the owner and chef, and he makes some mean fajitas. However, in the middle of their date Manny is arrested for murdering his rival, Marco Gonzales, owner of a restaurant called Pico de Gonzales.

Tony is furious. He knows Manny would never kill anyone. He also knows that the two cops who arrested him are dirty. Tony knows this from personal experience.

Of course Josie and Tony have no intention of following the cops' demand that they stay out of this. They will use every source they can find to prove Manny innocent. Josie even uses her twin brothers' expertise with computers to ferret out information.

Who really killed Marco? Can Josie and Tony convince the cops it wasn't Manny?

I don't know if this series is just growing on me or if the stories are actually getting better, but I have enjoyed each one more than the last. This story is my favorite so far, but there is still one more to read.

One more thing: in this story we learn something interesting about Tony's dad. It will be interesting to see where this revelation will lead us in the next book.

You definitely want to read this series in order if you want to fully understand the characters. And if you, like me, are not excited about the first story, hang in there: they DO get better.

Love This Series

Heated and Spiced With Murder is the third installment in J R Pearson’s Josie Rizzo Cozy Mystery series and is another delightful read. I love her witty writing style. This book a quick easy read and the mystery well plotted. The characters are well developed and relatable. I’m looking forward to reading the other books in this series.

Josie Rizzo and her boyfriend, Tony Santino, are having a date night at Tortillas and Beans in West Emily that is owned by Chef Manny Epstein, who is like a father to Tony. While they are there, two corrupt police officers, Lieutenant Gibson and Detective Perkins, arrive and take Manny in for questioning regarding the murder of his rival restaurateur, Marco Gonzales and owner of Pico De Gonzales. Tony is positive the police have the wrong man and, with the help of Josie and her tech-savvy younger twin brothers, is determined to uncover the truth. Josie hears from Forks & Knives regarding her employment application and we learn a little more about Mike Santino, Tony’s father.

Full of surprises!

This book is awesome! I love how Josie and Tony are growing their relationship. Josie is a strong, loveable character who makes this story hard to put down. When a friend and father figure to Tony is arrested for murder, Josie refuses to sit on the sidelines while Tony investigates. She is fearless when it comes to those she cares about and she proves it in this story.
The twist with Tony and his father heats up and the ending will leave you breathless.
I've become a huge fan of this series in short time and I hope others will give this series a try.
This is a perfect series for this time of year, a fantastic mystery to read while on vacation, sitting by the pool or just enjoying time at home.

Different novel than I was expecting, but good!

Enjoyable f/f NA with a main character from a politically-charged, manipulative family. Slow at the start, but it picks up once the romance starts. The book has mostly humorous overtones with the accident-prone Ainsley and a running gag over a flatulence scandal. There's plenty of serious moments too, and it's scary to see how Ainsley's whole life is about being groomed to become president of the United States.

The book is interesting in that Ainsley is out to her family about her sexuality, and they're all okay with it (even going as far as to consider it a power advantage). So no coming out drama, as I had thought would happen in a book about politics. Most of the romantic drama revolves around the fact Ainsley's girlfriend, Maya, doesn't seem to exist.

It's worth noting Maya is a Black Puerto Rican, but some of the language used in describing her is a bit uncomfortable. Sometimes it's obvious Ainsley is aware she's internalized racism and is trying to be above it (like asking if it's racist to bring African violets to Ainsley's mother). Other times, it's just icky ("chocolate milk" thighs). I really adored Maya overall and found her strong, smart, and compassionate. She's well-written, just...there's some cringeworthy moments.

Heads up for a few slurs that pop up towards the end.

Political through and through but still a good read

I'm Jamaican and I know very little about American politics and their presidents. There were some political references and punch lines that were over my head. I just couldn't relate. However, I could relate to Ainsley every step of the way. Her awkwardness, her ambition, her sense of obligation to maintain her family's legacy. And Maya the Gray. I was slightly disappointed that she was also a virgin. The buildup to her and Ainsley having sex for the first time portrayed Maya as experienced, but I guess that was just in terms of work. I loved the nicknames scattered throughout although at one point it bordered on overuse. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Average yet timely

This three star rating means it was average. There was the obvious cliche of the two young women falling hopelessly in love after the first time they had sex. One of the character's manic cousins as a hyperactive distraction and the crisis that threatened to keep them apart was ludicrous. The sex was average; a lot of it was just glossed over. It was a free download so I'm not sorry I spent three hours with it.

Never Have An Outlaws Baby introduces us to Jackson :Joker" Taylor and Summer "Summertime" Olivers. This book brings you on a wonderfully tragic yet exhilarating roller-coaster ride that you wont wont to get off of. It has everything you wont from a hot sexy bad boy who is well aware of his effect on women, and who happens to be member of the rough and tough Deadly Pistols MC. A young naive women, Summer "Summertime", just coming of age working in her Uncles bar, trying to help her sick mom. Joker comes to her rescue one night, saving her from the grips of a cocky drunken frat boy trying to add another notch on his belt. She is captivated by him almost instantly. Joker is a total ALPHA male and knows he's no good for Summer. He leaves her with just a parting kiss, but what a kiss it was. Three years later she is still dreaming about and feeling this kiss. So is he. They have a chance meeting again when her uncles bar is closing and that kiss is still on both there minds. The passion and emotion in this book is so strong and will leave you breathless and needing a cold shower. The characters strong and entire story flows well. Even when a Joker or Summer acted irrational is was easy to understand why they did and I could even see myself act the same way if I were faced with the trials they have. You are never left saying "WHAT?!" or "THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE, WHY WOULD THEY ACT THAT WAY?" Everything was plausible, even Summer lashing out in pain, which made it easy to read. GREAT READ!! I would definitely read this again.

Great read,loved it but wasn't happy with the surprise.

The book was a great read. I loved Jackson and Summers story. Summer was barely eighteen when she met Jackson and ended up crushing on him. A couple years later Jackson came back into her life for a brief two weeks and due to tragedy left again, this timekeeping Summer with a parting gift. Three years later due to a rival club Summer is forced to seek out Jackson. Jackson is realizes he loves Summer decides to marry her. A lot more happens in between, I just don't want to spoil everything.
So the reason I gave this book three stars is because when I first started this book my kindle message said it was twelve hours long. Well, when I got a little over fifty percent the book ended and there were a lot of first chapters of other books written by Nicole Snow. Despite that I still recommend this book to readers just beware that the book isn't as long as it states.

Way better!!!!!

I'm having a hard time believing this book was written by the same author as Never Love an Outlaw and Never Kiss an Outlaw (I was not a fan of either). This book was really good. I enjoyed the relationship between Summer and Joker. I enjoyed seeing a hardened Outlaw being a softy about his child. I really didn't like Joker in the beginning. He made Summer cry (and me too). You don't know all the evil things I wanted to do to him. Luckily Summer didn't give up so I didn't either. This book had the emotional connection I was missing in the other 2 stories. This one did not feel rushed. The conversations ran smoothly. All around way better read. I enjoyed it.
