I haven't been in any Olympic venue nor ever been an athlete, but this book just about gave me the whole experience. I may never find out myself, but the vibes this book gave me felt real and I want to believe it as it is.
Freddie and Andie went to Rio from across the world to win Gold not Hearts. Having met each other and harboring affection for each other, they won not just the HEART but a lot more. SCANDAL - Since Freddie is a British Duke whose betrothal was just announced before the games, they gave the media a feast. HATERS - After the scandal broke, Andie gained haters in addition to her fans. ENEMY - In the name of Caroline the Dutchess-wanna-be. The wolf under a ship skin. Her true personality was revealed after Freddie ended their betrothal. STRENGTH - Amidst everything that was happening, both of them drew unbelievable strength and determination to surpass their record and endure pain to rise at the top of their games.
Caroline was a hard lump to pass since she's such a manipulative and cunning b*tch. But Freddie didn't stop until he's free of her and he can finally have a clean path with Andie.
I love how the author built the characters. Andie seems so carefree yet guarded. Freddie is such a nice bloke who refuses others to dictate his future. There are also fun and lovable characters like Kinsley, Becca, and Georgie.
Overall, this book was fun, sexy, and amazing! Can't wait to read more from the author!

I loved this sports romance!

If you already miss watching the Rio Olympics, this is the book for you!
Settling the Score was an incredibly fun Olympic centered romance. It was everything I like in a sports romance. The writing was amazing, the characters fun, and it was really cool to feel like you were smack in the middle of all of the Olympic drama. Settling the Score brought a fun and sexy side to the Olympics that I hadn't thought too much about before.
I loved Andie and Freddie. Andie was not only an accomplished athlete, but a confident woman. I loved her playful side. Freddie was a much deeper character than I expected. He had a lot to prove to Andie. I loved his backstory and how his family influenced his life. Together, they were just what you'd expect a sexy, athletic couple to be.
Andie and Freddie weren't the only exciting characters in the story. There were a couple of athletes from Grey's previous books that made appearances. I did feel like I was missing out on something great not knowing them before, but it didn't bother me. It just made me more excited to go back, read their stories, and get to know them better.
Settling the Score is a story New Adult sports romance fans are sure to love. I would highly recommend it. It will get you right back in the Olympic spirit.

Epic love/hate relationship

After reading The Summer Games: Settling The Score, I needed more of those rowdy Olympians and there out of the pool, off the field, and off the mats antics. Before you fret, this is a standalone, there is no overlap but a brief cameo from Andie, there is no explanation of her story or where she ended so there are no spoilers there, but if you read Settling the Score you know it's her.
Okay, back to my review.
A story of forbidden love. He's her coach, she's his Olympic athlete. Their feelings for each other could tear their lives apart. Out Of Bounds gave me everything I need in a book, almost every emotion was touched. I laughed, I got mad, and I wanted so much for these two to get their heads out their behinds see what is right in front of them. Brie tests Erik like no one else has, and I found it so funny reading his reactions, and seeing how exactly he bites back makes it so much better. The sexual tension between Brie and Erik is off the charts, their love/hate relationship between them has you gasping when things are good and mad when they are bad.
I absolutely love R.S. Grey and have read almost everything she has written but I am begging her to give me more naughty athletes :)
