Should be 2 stars but seeing as I've read 6/7 in the series, I'll be generous

I've read 6 out of the 7 books in this series. The series started so well and I gave the first 4 books 4 stars each. I'm sure it's a record for me. The last book I read (book 5) was terrible and I gave it 2 stars and was put off and avoided the 6th. My interest was piqued by this h as we'd seen glimpses of her in the other books and she seemed intriguing. I had high hopes for this book but I have to say I was bitterly disappointed.

The h and H had been having a secret relationship until he dumped her and then publicly rejected her in a bar when she sang to him - that probably happened in book 6 from what I can gather. Already my hackles were up but I had faith in this author and hoped she'd make something of this story and that book 5 was just an unhappy fail. The h here talked a good talk about remaining strong but one glimpse of the H and she is putty in his hands again. The plot is honestly beyond credibility - all about how the h was in danger because of the H's links to a MC. They are thrown together and the h falls into the H's arms over and over with not a glimmer of a backbone. We were back the pseudo 50SOG sex (very tired now). The h started off being a cool, edgy, independent singer and ended up being a first class doormat. We are privy to the H's thoughts (unfortunately) and so we know that he is going to dump the h yet again and he duly does. What does the h do??? Ultimate cringe moment - gathers all of the family plus all of the MC and various characters from this book and serenades (read throws herself back at him) him in song. It didn't work for her before but now she goes and really puts him on the spot. The author gives us the h's weird reasoning - that she'll always be constant etc OMG. Returned the book for a refund. What happened to this author??

Who Do You Love review
I received an ARC from the author for an honest unbiased review.
This one really blew me away! Christie Ridgway really has a talent and I don’t think it is better displayed than in this book. The words just flow from page to page and you cannot put it down! The emotions, the actions, everything is just so eloquently written that you feel the pain and joy of each character.
Cami Colson is the daughter of one of the famed Velvet Lemons and was raised in a very unconventional way by a groupie who lived on group’s compound. The boys got to participate in all the debauchery but the girls were hidden away and kept apart. With no mother to speak of, Cami just wanted to love and be loved. But the only time she had risked her heart, it was stomped on and torn to shreds. So she turned to her music and guitar.
Eamon Rooney should have been a shoo-in for his father’s biker club, but he was banned from membership as part of his parents’ divorce. So he became a lawyer and went into practice with a wealthy friend from school. But he found he didn’t like that either and concentrated on the investigative side of the business. His upbringing was far from normal which made him avoid commitments of any kind, especially the romantic ones.
The two cross paths when he tracks down a part for his motorcycle at the auto junk yard where she works for her brother. Sparks fly, and they begin a clandestine affair, only to have him publicly dump here at the club where she sings.
Both characters are struggling with their inability to have ‘normal’ relationships with the opposite sex. She now wants nothing to do with him but his family background has created a dangerous situation for her. A rival gang pulls them both into something they can’t control. Thrown together to protect her, she doesn’t want his protection and he can’t stop caring.
Wonderful story of love, pain, and reconciliation. I couldn’t put it down and hoped it would go on longer.

Who Do You Love, by Christie Ridgway, Rock Royalty Book 7, introduces the reader to Cami Colton’s mysterious boyfriend. Cami is the sister of Ren and Payne and daughter of String Bean Colton. She is one of the two girls out of the nine children of the Velvet Lemmons, a band their fathers created. Cami manages one of the scrap yards that her brother Payne owns as well as being an indie singer-songwriter.
Eamon Rooney is the son of the president of a well known motorcycle club. He unexpectedly met Cami when he goes to the scrap yard in search of a part for his motorcycle. The attraction between them is off the chart as Cami and Eamon begin a scorching, secret affair.
Eamon then broke things off without warning or reason. Cami could only nurse her aching heart and hope that time would heal its wounds. Now Eamon has returned and is as handsome and tempting as ever. In fact Cami believes he has become more mysterious than before. Truthfully, Eamon broke off with Cami to keep her free from the danger following him. When trouble appeared in Cami’s life, Eamon reappears in her life, doing everything in his power to keep her safe.
Cami and Eamon both live lonely lives, cut off from the love and support of their families. Or they at least feel that way. Cami expresses this in her songs, but Eamon bottles it up inside. The passion between these two once again flares during the time Eamon is protecting Cami.
I loved the way Christie Ridgway took the reader along on Cami and Eamon’s journey to finding each other, a love and support and accepting the passion they share. She showed the growth in the relationship between these two characters as well as how their affection for each other continued to grow. I highly recommend this book to all readers and I cannot wait to read the next story in this series
